As of November 2018, I produce a piece of artwork - digital illustration, a collage, painting, etc. - a day along with a 300-500 words that I post on Instagram and the rest of my social media. I then assemble these images and writings into a hardbound, limited edition sketchbook every quarter to document my journey as a writer and an artist.
As shown: (1) "Untitled Sketch 1"; (2) "Invisible Hand"; (3) “Octavia”
This small collection of works were developed using a digital tool called Freemix, utilizing elements drawn from across the web and various social media sites. “Untitled Sketch 1” took inspiration from vintage works of the 60s and 70s, “Invisible Hand” was a musing on the the concept of the ‘invisible hand’ of the free market, and “Octavia” was inspired by the Afrofuturist aesthetics of Octavia Butler’s body of work.
